A New Beginning

The secret of colorful a life is not as much in the finishing line, but at the starting points.

Time has flown and now, The Lifepegs International Club has been established for more than six months. Initially I came with her and participate in activities. My aim was very simple, to practice English speaking. But after taking part in the "Back to School Day" activities, I not only learned good English speaking but the most important thing is, I am not afraid of society anymore-no longer afraid of strangers. I am even fuller of power and courage to realize my dreams.
March 6, before I left for Lifepegs, I was hesitating. Those friends who know me would say I have two personalities; I am willing but also afraid of contacting strangers. But I got the courage to go to the club. The moment I arrived club, I was attracted by the active atmosphere. There are a lot of friends to made and to be honest, I feel at home feeling.Activities at Lifepegs are varied, I feel that through these games we have not only experienced new ones, but also more importantly, through the games we became acquainted with many new students from across the country. We also have an enhanced sense of teamwork and collective spirit, a deeper understanding of the American concept of "Back to School Festival" festivities, but personally, the most exciting things is waiting for us.
After various activities, the club served a very tasty collective dinner, but I was much more interested in communicating with others.

I wanted to leave immediately after dinner, because I saw so many strangers, and my heart felt some apprehension, but the outdoor coach persuaded me to stay.  It was not an easy decision, but it became the beginning of my breakthrough in English speaking! I was looking when at all kinds of games when La Tika, a girl from the Philippines came up to me and invited me to play a game, and she talked to me. I could only reply with some simple words to her, but then I felt incorporated into this atmosphere, and then was able to have relatively smooth communication with her. It made my so confident! After that, Marianne talked with me and gave me lots of advice to improve my spoken English. I noticed that when communicating in English with your vocabulary doesn’t matter a lot but what matter is your confidence to speak out.

Lifepegs offers a great place and environment to learn varieties of knowledge, culture and concepts within an atmosphere of leisure. And I can find lots of friends who have the same interest. In Lifepegs, everyone can seek out a comfortable space for his or her own interests.

Though the homecoming festival has passed, I have started a new period of my life. In the New Year, I hope more and more friends will come to Lifepegs to find your true friends and your orientation in life. We can communicate and improve ourselves together!
