Hiking

Hiking in Jing Yue District brought me great joy and taught me the value of simplicity and persistence.   On May 15th a couple other LP members and I hopped on a bus and began a super fun journey. The weather was not very good and I arrived late. I wore my basketball shoes and by the time I reached LP my shoes were covered with mud.
We thought we would get wet because it was raining, but thankfully it stopped when we got there. The road was still muddy though and since I am the luckiest guy in the world—I slipped!
At first, the mountain didn’t look so high, but when we were climbing to reach the top, my first impression changed. I was impressed by the consistency of Allen, a LP staff member, in asking people for directions. There were times when I was concerned about our whereabouts, but his faithfulness and determination led us in the right way.
Through George and Allen’s efforts we finally reached our destination and took a lot of pictures. In the end the trip felt like an easy flat road since it was filled with laughter and help from one another. The best part is that I got to know more friends!
