With New Year's around the corner, I considered facing our three day vacation in a lonely way,in front of the computer screen. I knew that what I really longed for was a visit to nature. My choice was simple; “Life Pegs" is the place that creates happiness that never lets me down.
Our destination was to rural Chagan Lake, a place full of adventure with activities in nature. After a leisurely three hour nap on our bus ride we arrived to a place where we could finally breathe freshair.

frozen lake which had more than a foot of ice, I felt as if I had stepped back in time to the Lao or Jin dynasties. The simple way the fisherman caught their 25 thousand kilograms of fish with several thousand meters of fishing nets, brought joy to all present. As night began to fall, horses drove carts full of their treasures back to land. After being on the lake we were able to enjoy a feast of fish.
Twenty strangers then tried to get to know each other by sharing their experiences from 2010.
We had fun playing games and becoming friends that evening.
The trip included many wonderful elements. he village homes that we stayed in had “kang” (beds heated by fire where many sleep together on this hard surface). We also played 3-legged football which made everyone sweaty even though we were playing in the cold snow. Then we talked about what we hope to accomplish in the new year and made plans for how to achieve our goals. We also had time to work as teams as we had a photo scavenger hunt. During this two-day journey I gained not only the view of fisherman catching thousands of fish, but also developed friendships and a new understanding of the future.
I like Life Pegs not only because of their low fees, tailored activities for students, the 24-hour sincere customer service, but also because of the happiness that we gain during the activities.
The philosophy of life that they share is not something that we can learn in school. During the Chagan Lake trip I was able to relax. The trip was worthwhile because I got to see the beautiful winter landscape of Chagan Lake and established new goals for the coming year.Life Pegs was successful in preparing another wonderful trip for many to enjoy.
