A “Win-Win” Situation for Everyone

On Friday, April 10th, Life Pegs hosted a professional lecture, fittingly called the “Win-win Talk.” The club was honored to have one of Changchun’s business elite, Ms. Liu Chun Yan, as the evening’s lecturer. Ms. Liu lectured on the “DISC personality model,” which is an assessment of basic personality types. The model works by revealing a pattern in the answers which are given by the individuals being assessed. Based on the pattern, the DISC model will determine what personality type the person has. The model also reveals to the test-taker how his or her personality type interacts with other types. The purpose of the DISC personality model is to help people understand their own behaviors and traits as well as those of friends, family, and co-workers. It is hoped that when people understand how they relate to others, everyone’s ability to get along will be improved.Several of the lecture attendees sampled the DISC model for themselves. After completing the questions and contemplating the results, one member remarked, “This test is a new experience for me. And I really do know myself better now!”
