Ultimate Frisbee

飞盘游戏Flying discs (commonly called Frisbees) are disc-shaped objects, which are generally plastic and roughly 20 to 25 centimeters (8–10 inches) in diameter, with a lip. The shape of the disc, an airfoil in cross-section, allows it to fly by generating lift as it moves through the air while rotating. The name Frisbee is a registered trademark of the Wham-O toy company, but is often used generically to describe all flying discs.

Flying discs are thrown and caught for recreation, and as part of many different flying disc games. A wide range of flying disc variants is available commercially. Disc golf discs are usually smaller but denser and are tailored for particular flight profiles to increase/decrease stability and distance. Disc dog sports use relatively slow flying discs made of more pliable material to better resist a dog's bite and prevent injury to the dog. In disc dog competitions, dogs and their human disc throwers compete in events such as distance catching and somewhat choreographed freestyle catching.  Freestyle Frisbee is a sport and performing art in which athletes perform deft maneuvers ("tricks") with a flying disc. Double Disc Court (DDC) is a sport played with two flying discs between two teams of two players each. Guts or guts disc is a disc game inspired by dodgeball, involving teams throwing a flying disc (rather than balls) at members of the opposing team. One to five team members stand in a line facing the opposing team across the court, with the two teams lined up parallel to each other. Ultimate (also called Ultimate Frisbee) is a limited-contact team sport played with a 175 gram flying disc. The object of ultimate is to score points by passing the disc to a player in the opposing end zone, similar to an end zone in American football or rugby, and players may not run while holding the disc. Ultimate is the most popular among all the frisbee games.

Frisbee is a tool of games loving by both adults and children all over the world. You can play it as long as there’s a space, and it can be played in many different ways. Frisbee was listed as an event of the World Games in 2001.
